Gulf Islands Cycling/Wine Tasting Tour

Cycling and sipping, explore the sunny Gulf Islands from your private charter yacht. Bring your own bicycles or we can provide them. Several wineries offer hand-bottled, limited production wines and generous tasting rooms. We particularly enjoy both the Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris of Saturna Island Vineyards. During the long summer days a chilled Chardonnay or Semillon is a cool elixir from the gods. Cherry Point Vineyards Port style wines made from abundant island wild blackberries and authentic English ciders from Merridale Ciderworks offer variations on the theme. Island hopping from Victoria to Nanaimo via the islands’ paved country roads is delightful with your own mothership bridging the waterways.

Pedalling, like paddling, is most enjoyable when unencumbered. Laden panniers, spare parts and back packs aren’t part of the equation. Equipment is moved between ship and shore in our 17 ft. inflatable tender. Picnic along the way or rendezvous with the ship for lunch. We’ll meet up for hot showers, happy hour and delicious al fresco dining aboard. Cozy berths in your private cabin await you.

Quaint outports and villages, artists’ studios, craft shops, lighthouses, cappuccino bars, marine parks and beaches await exploration. Friendly islanders enjoy a laid-back life on ‘island time’ and encourage visitors to slow down and smell the roses. Throw away ferry schedules. We’ll cruise to whichever of the dozens of islands, marine parks and offshore islets that meet the mood of the moment. Stroll forested pathways, wiggle your toes in sandy beaches, swim, fish or, kayak with your favourite pal.

We berth 2 couples in separate cabins. Larger groups are lodged overnight ashore in select resorts and B&Bs. Enquire for an all inclusive group rate.
